WHAT WE DO

We're launching in 2025! This page will be continually updated as we prepare to serve future WCS students and their families!

Distinctives

What does it mean to offer students a Christian education? We want to see students grow in Christ as they succeed academically.

WE WILL NOT

  • Adopt a public school model, merely "tacking on" a chapel service.

  • Falsely divide the study of God's world from the study of his Word.

  • Treat academic subjects as if they are separate from faith.

  • Use faith and spirituality to devalue critical thinking and reason (or vice versa).

WE WILL

  • Strive to thoroughly integrate faith and learning.

  • Pursue God through academic study, realizing that all truth belongs to him.

  • Become creation explorers in science, godly community builders in social studies, truth tellers in language arts, and discovers of God's precision and order in math.

  • Exercise faith and reason jointly, recognizing both as gifts from God.

Commitments

01

Academic Quality

Teachers will have protected time to plan effective lessons, collaborate toward student growth, and provide personalized instruction to meet students' needs. Students will be formally and informally assessed, resulting in data that can be used to drive instructional choices. Curriculum will emphasize critical thinking and reasoning skills so that students grow as learners.

02

Flexible Scheduling

A comprehensive 4-day school week with optional academic enrichment on Fridays means that families can choose the schedule that best fits their needs. Students who attend 4-day public schools are welcomed to join us on Fridays, and homeschoolers can audit courses at a discounted rate when seats are available.

03

Tuition Options

Private tuition is a financial investment, and we are doing all that we can to make the choice easier for families. Our commitment includes:

  • a $5,000 cap on tuition for the 2025 school year

  • Payment options

  • actively building a scholarship program

  • discounts for staff and tithing church members

  • preparing to accept school vouchers should they be passed by the Texas legislature
